Clinical Psychologist and Brown University Medical School Professor Laurence Hirshberg, Ph.D., director of the NeuroDevelopment Center in Providence, Rhode Island, will discuss neurofeedback, a type of EEG (electroencephalograph)-based biofeedback, from 2:30 - 4:30pm on Friday, May 7, 2010 at NESCA (Neuropsychology & Education Services for Children & Adolescents).Dr. Hirshberg is regarded as a pioneer in this expanding field and one of this country's leading practitioners. Research indicates that neurofeedback is an effective therapeutic modality in the treatment of conditions ranging from anxiety and ADHD to behavioral problems, depression, mood disregulation, learning disabilities and autism spectrum disorders.
